How to Crochet Cozy Cottagecore Coasters

If you love adding soft handmade touches to your home, these cozy crochet coasters are such a lovely project to make.

Inspired by the charm of cottagecore style and worked in the round with cotton yarn, they’re practical, pretty, and beginner-friendly too. Whether you’re making a set for your coffee table, bedside table, or as a thoughtful handmade gift, these little coasters are a beautiful way to bring warmth and texture into your space.

Add a little handmade charm to your coffee table, bedside table, or favourite cosy corner with these sweet and simple crochet coasters. The Cozy Cottagecore Crochet Coasters are worked in the round using cotton yarn and are a lovely project to enjoy over a quiet afternoon.

This pattern is inspired by one of my favourite crochet motifs, the Sunburst Granny Square. If you already know and love that classic design, this pattern will feel beautifully familiar. The stitches are much the same, with just a few small changes to keep the shape round instead of square.

These coasters are quick to make, practical for everyday use, and perfect for creating a pretty handmade set for your home. Make four for a small set, or six for a fuller collection.

The Yarn You’ll Need for These Cozy Crochet Coasters

For these coasters, 8 ply cotton yarn works beautifully. Cotton is a wonderful choice for crochet home décor because it has lovely stitch definition, holds its shape well, and is practical for everyday use. It is also machine washable, which makes these coasters both pretty and useful.

I would recommend sticking with an 8 -10 Ply Cotton Blend for the best results. You could use a lighter-weight yarn if you prefer, but your finished coaster may come out a little smaller. Since gauge is not especially important for this pattern, a slight size difference is perfectly fine.

Pattern Description

These crochet coasters are made in the round and feature beautifully textured stitches that give them a soft, decorative look. They are quick to work up and make a lovely handmade gift or a charming addition to your own home.

Make a set of 4 or 6 coasters for the perfect finishing touch to your coffee table or nightstand.
